Online Cooking Party

Let's cook together!

Saturday June 20 at 1 pm PST

We are joining up with Latincouver to present an Online Cooking Party as part of Carnaval del Sol - The biggest Latin American festival in the Pacific Northwest.

Online, through Zoom, we'll create Mexican-Style Rice & Beans with Fresh Tomato Salsa + Famousa Mimosa!

Breakfast in Spanish is called Desayuno – and we say this one is a good one. It may not be the typical Mexican breakfast but it sure is a great way to break your fast. Typically, in Mexico eggs and beans are a good way to start the day, but we have decided to opt out eggs and opt in rice instead. Filled with protein and nutrients, it is a wonderful way to start your day. Variety is the spice of life! (Other people argue it’s chilis; luckily for you this recipe has both).

Grapefruit Mimosa

This Famousa Mimosa should be famous because it is unique and super tasty, and sure to please anyone from the super famous to friends sharing good times over brunch. Fresh squeezed grapefruit juice and Disaronno are the secret ingredients that make this drink so special.

Latincouver is a non-profit organization that brings together both Latin Americans and Latin enthusiasts living in BC. This vast network can be compared to the public square or, as it is common said in Latin America, la plaza.

In the past, the plaza acted as the social and economic hub of a city and as the heart of the community, playing an important role in bringing people together.

Latincouver is the modern-day plaza. With us, professional connections are made, and entrepreneurs get the help they need for their businesses to grow and succeed.
